GDC Number 78172
David qualified in 2000 from Guy’s Hospital, London. He did his Vocational Training in Grimsby, North East Lincolnshire before becoming an Associate at the family practice in 2001. David enjoys providing general dental care to all patients and is interested in the concept of minimally invasive dentistry. Since becoming practice owner in 2009, he now offers patients Invisalign® invisible braces and is currently undertaking training on dental implants.
David is married with 2 young energetic sons who keep him busy when he is not at work. He likes Land Rovers, following Formula 1, Whisky and visiting distilleries in Scotland.

GDC Number 79795
Himali qualified as a Dentist in 2001 from Guy’s Hospital, London. She worked as a Dental House Officer at Guy’s Hospital in the Oral Medicine and Restorative Dentistry departments for a year before going on to complete her Vocational Training in Cuffley. During this time she gained her MFDS at the Royal College of Surgeons. Himali has also worked as a Senior House Officer in Oral and Maxillofacial surgery. It was in 2004 that she came to work at what was then the John Hudson Dental Practice. She temporarily left in 2005 to do an MSc in Implant Dentistry at the Eastman Dental Institute and went on to establish implant dentistry within the practice.
Himali is married with two young daughters. She enjoys kayaking and sailing as well as playing the guitar.

GDC Number 74571
Vash qualified as a Dentist at the University of Manchester in 1998 and completed a year of Vocational Training in Wallasey on the Wirral. She has worked in general practice since qualifying having first worked in Maidstone, Kent and then Tottenham in North London. She joined Hudson’s Dental Care in October 2009 after relocating to Ware. Aside from a commitment to NHS dentistry she is also currently undertaking a course to become proficient in providing dental implants.
Vash is married with 2 little girls who take up much of her spare time. She also enjoys reading and jogging.

Shelley qualified with a Diploma in Dental Hygiene in 2000 from Eastmans Dental Hospital. She has been with the practice since September 2002 and currently works part time.
Shelley has three children, two boys and a girl which accounts for most of her free time.

Sharon joined the practice in 2007 and works 2 days a week. She qualified as a Dental Hygienist in 1979 and also has a Diploma in Dental Health Education. Sharon enjoys her job, likes working with people and finds it rewarding to help patients who have particular dental health problems.
Sharon has one son. Her interests are reading, gardening, the arts (theatre and film), travel and Zumba dance clases. She also enjoys socialising.

GDC Number 1412
Marjorie was born on the island of St. Helena in the South Atlantic. She worked as a Dental Nurse on St. Helena for 6 years before attending the Dental Training School in Cardiff to qualify as a Dental Hygienist. She left St. Helena in 1979 to join the Army and served 5 years in the QARANC. She was posted to Northern Ireland for a year and spent the remainder of her service in Chelsea and Bassingbourne Barracks. When she left the Army she was self employed and worked in Sloane Street, Bond Street and Battersea.
In 1989 she went to Germany with her husband who was a Major in the Royal Engineers. She worked in the British Military Hospital as an Oral Surgery Assistant with Air Commodore Quant (brother to Mary Quant). When Marjorie’s husband left the army they moved to Cambridgeshire where she resumed work as a Dental Hygienist. She currently works in Cambridge and Hertfordshire.
Marjorie has undertaken occasional charity runs. She enjoys swimming, walking and travelling. She takes an active role in her local church.

Elaine started at the practice in October 1990 working as a Trainee Dental Surgery assistant for John Hudson. She attended De Havilland College and qualified as a DSA in 1992. In 1998 after having her first child Elaine worked part time as afternoon receptionist. Elaine now has three children and works 2 days a week and is currently re-taking her dental nurse exams as she has returned to nursing.

Michelle started working for John Hudson as a full time dental nurse in June 2001. She is a registered dental nurse and during her time at the practice she has gained her Certificate in Oral Hygiene. She is also a fully trained implant nurse. Since leaving the practice to have her two boys she now works part time.
Michelle’s interests include walking her dogs, going to the cinema and seeing friends.

GDC Number 122130 (registered as Michelle Smith)
Michelle joined the practice in 2003 as a trainee dental nurse, she then registered as a dental nurse in 2007. Michelle is also a fully trained implant nurse. Since having her first child in 2008 Michelle now works part time and has recently returned to work after having her second child.

Michaela joined the practice in September 2006 as a trainee Dental Nurse, in 2007 she attended the QE 2 Hospital and gained the NEBDN in Dental Nursing. In 2009 she trained as a Dental Radiographer at the University of Hertfordshire. She is currently studying to complete a diploma in Dental Practice Management that she is due to complete later this year. Michaela is also one of the practice’s first aiders. In her spare time Michaela enjoys Zumba, walking her dog and socialising.

Jo joined the practice as a Trainee Dental Nurse in September 2008. In 2009 she attended college at QE2 Hospital to gain the Dental Nurse NEBDN qualification. She successfully passed her exams in May 2010 and is now a qualified and registered nurse. Jo is hoping to further her education and attend more training courses enabling her to extend her dental nursing duties. Jo has just completed the Red Cross First Aid training course and is now one of the appointed first aiders.
Outside of work she enjoys Zumba classes and horse riding.

GDC Number 109963 (registered as Clare Costello)
Clare started at the practice in June 2010 and has been working as a Dental Nurse/Receptionist for 12 years. Clare qualified as an Oral Health Adviser in November 2004 and attends various courses to keep her professional skills up to date.
Clare is married with two young children. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, travelling and socialising.
Sandra started working at the practice as morning receptionist in August 2001. Sandra has three grown up children and enjoys gardening, reading, walking and socialising.

Natalie joined the practice in March 2011 as part time Receptionist/Dental Nurse and also works at a local restaurant. She attended the QE 2 Hospital to complete the Dental Nursing course. Natalie is currently attending courses to further her education on dental nursing and reception skills. Natalie enjoys walking her dog, socialising and also plays netball for a local team.

Our Practice & Business Manager is Paul Stanyer.
Paul is responsible for delivery of all the non-clinical aspects of running a busy dental practice.
Working alongside the team, Paul brings to the Practice a mixture of business and administration skills to ensure compliance with statutory requirements. With a background in business management and marketing, he oversees all the financial, marketing and HR needs of the Practice and is also looking to expand our patient services to offer additional treatments. In his spare time Paul enjoys chilling out with family and friends, cooking Indian and Italian food, walking the family dog, reading and listening to classical music.

Helen joined the practice in 2011. Before joining the practice she worked in the NHS for 16 years in various roles. Her previous role included supporting local GPs with commissioning healthcare, being a key contact for practices with all types of queries and providing financial information for the commissioning group.
Helen is married to David and they have two lively sons. As well as raising a young family she enjoys nature and the outdoors and meeting up with family and friends. Her ambition is to drive a lorry.
